From Self Defense to Fitness to Wellness
The roots of our wellness programs are in Kewesi Simon’s personal journey, in a natural progression from self-defense to fitness to wellness. As a boy he trained in martial arts primarily to learn to defend himself. In the Santa Cruz mountains, he hiked, biked, climbed, jumped off rocks and swam in the ocean. Now as an adult who has rigorously trained and instructed in multiple self defense, health and wellness modalities, he has developed programs that all revolve around an Eastern core concept of balance in mind and body. Whole Body Balance
In traditional martial arts, a balance of physical and emotional mastery provides the control necessary for self-defense. In Traditional Chinese Medicine the body requires balance for health. If one organ or organ system is out of balance, the entire system becomes out of balance as it tries to compensate.
The body is an amazing thing, constantly working in self-defense to respond to conditions of imbalance to repair them. Kewesi brings experience with various yin and yang modalities, seeing the body from different perspectives and helping clients achieve their goals without injury.
